Description:
Glucoryl-MV1 Tablet SR is an anti-diabetic medication used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It is a combination of three medicines that work together to effectively control blood sugar levels, helping to prevent complications such as kidney damage, nerve issues, vision problems, and limb-related concerns associated with uncontrolled diabetes.
This tablet should be taken with food to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal side effects. For best results, it should be taken at the same time every day. Your doctor will prescribe the appropriate dosage based on your blood sugar levels and may adjust it depending on your response to the treatment.
It is important to continue taking Glucoryl-MV1 Tablet SR even if you feel fine or your blood sugar levels are under control. Do not stop this medication without your doctor’s advice, as it may lead to elevated blood sugar levels and increased risk of long-term complications. This medicine is most effective when combined with a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight management, as recommended by your doctor.
The most common side effect is hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). Symptoms include sweating, dizziness, headache, shakiness, and weakness. Always carry a quick source of glucose such as sugary snacks or fruit juice to manage sudden drops in blood sugar. Alcohol should be avoided, as it can further increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Other possible side effects include taste disturbances, nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, headache, swelling (edema), blurred vision, bone fractures, and upper respiratory infections. Some individuals may also experience weight gain while using this medicine.
You should not take this medicine if you have type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or severe kidney or liver conditions. Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart disease, as this may influence your suitability for this treatment. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before starting the medication. Routine blood sugar monitoring and periodic blood tests to evaluate liver function and blood cell counts are advised while on this medicine.
