Description:
Cipladine Ointment is an antiseptic and disinfectant used to manage and prevent skin infections, particularly in minor burns, lacerations (deep cuts), cuts, and abrasions (where the first layer of skin is scraped off). It contains 5% w/w of Povidone-Iodine, with 0.5% w/w available iodine, in a water-soluble ointment base. This ointment is also used in infection control during procedures like urinary catheter insertion and care, circumcision, suture removal, and dressing changes. It works by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing microbes and can help prevent infections of the mouth and throat lining, such as gingivitis and mouth ulcers.
For safe use, always read the label carefully before application. Store the ointment in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, and keep it out of reach of children.
