Description:
Onabet 2% Cream is a topical antifungal medication used to treat a range of fungal skin infections, including athlete’s foot, Dhobie itch, thrush, ringworm, and dry, flaky skin. It works by targeting and killing the fungus responsible for the infection, helping to relieve symptoms and promote healing.
The cream should be applied in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor, typically once or twice a day. For best results, use it regularly and avoid applying more than necessary, as this won’t speed up recovery and may increase the risk of side effects. Keeping the affected area clean and dry enhances the effectiveness of the treatment. If you’re treating athlete’s foot, it’s recommended to wash your socks thoroughly and change shoes daily. Common side effects may include mild burning, itching, irritation, or redness at the site of application. Avoid contact with the eyes, and rinse immediately with water if accidental contact occurs.
Although it is unlikely to interact with other oral or injectable medications, you should inform your doctor if you are using any other topical treatments, especially those containing steroids, or if you have a history of allergic reactions to antifungal products.
