Description:
Rcifax 400 Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat hepatic encephalopathy, a condition in which the liver fails to remove harmful toxins from the blood, leading to brain damage. It is also effective in treating infectious diarrhea by killing and inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria in the intestines.
This medicine can be used alone or in combination with other medications and may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. It should be taken in the prescribed dose and duration as advised by the doctor, and stopping the medication early may cause the infection to return and become more difficult to treat. Some common side effects include vomiting, headache, dizziness, nausea, rashes, joint pain, and depression, which are usually temporary and subside as the body adjusts to the medicine.
A harmless reddish discoloration of urine may also occur. Before starting this medication, patients should inform their doctor if they are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have any liver, kidney, or heart problems, or if they are allergic to any medicine.
