Description:
Advent 228.5mg Dry Syrup is an antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections in children, including those of the ear, nose, throat, chest, lungs, teeth, skin, and urinary tract. It is effective against bacteria that have become resistant to standard treatments and can also help manage drug-resistant tuberculosis.
The syrup can be administered with or without food, though giving it with food can improve absorption and reduce the risk of stomach upset. The dosage and frequency are determined by the doctor based on the type and severity of the infection, as well as the child’s age and weight. If the child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the dose, the same dose can be repeated after the child calms down—however, avoid giving a double dose if it’s time for the next one.
Common side effects include vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, and allergic reactions, which are usually mild and temporary. Inform your child’s doctor about any previous medical conditions, including allergies, birth defects, heart or blood disorders, gastrointestinal or respiratory issues, liver or kidney problems, to ensure safe and effective treatment.
