Description:
Advent 457mg Tablet DT Tangy Orange is an antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections in children, including those affecting the ear, nose, throat, chest, lungs, teeth, skin, and urinary tract. It is effective against bacteria that are resistant to other treatments and can also be used to manage drug-resistant tuberculosis.
The tablet can be given with or without food, though administering it with food may enhance absorption and reduce the risk of stomach upset. The dosage and frequency depend on the child’s age, weight, type, and severity of the infection, and should be strictly followed as prescribed by the doctor. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the dose, you may repeat it after the child calms down. However, do not double the dose if it is close to the next scheduled one.
Common side effects include vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, and allergic reactions, which usually subside on their own. Inform the doctor about your child’s complete medical history, including any allergies, birth defects, heart or blood disorders, gastrointestinal or respiratory issues, liver or kidney problems, to ensure safe and effective treatment planning.
