Easylax L Oral Solution Lemon Sugar-Free is a laxative used to relieve constipation by drawing water into the bowel, which softens stools and makes them easier to pass. It is also prescribed for managing hepatic encephalopathy, a liver condition that can cause confusion, tremors, and reduced alertness.
This solution can be taken with or without food, as directed by your doctor. For best results, take it regularly at the same time each day. Your dosage may be adjusted depending on your response to treatment. Do not exceed the recommended dose, and if you miss one, avoid doubling up. The medicine usually takes about 48 hours to start working, so consult your doctor if constipation persists beyond three days.
Common side effects include mild nausea or vomiting, which usually subside within a few days. In rare cases, more serious effects such as severe diarrhea or electrolyte imbalance may occur. Seek medical advice immediately if you experience these.
