Even if you start to feel better or your sugar levels stabilize, it’s important to continue taking the medication as prescribed. Stopping it suddenly without medical advice can lead to elevated blood sugar levels, increasing the risk of complications such as kidney damage, nerve problems, vision loss, and limb amputation.
One of the most common side effects of Glimisave MV 2 is hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). It’s important to recognize symptoms such as sweating, shakiness, dizziness, and headaches, and know how to respond. Regular meals and keeping a quick source of glucose, like sugary snacks or juice, can help prevent or treat these symptoms. Alcohol should be avoided as it may increase the risk of low blood sugar. Other potential side effects include taste disturbances, nausea, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, headache, swelling (edema), blurred vision, upper respiratory tract infections, and, in some cases, weight gain or bone fractures.
This medication is not recommended for individuals with type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or severe kidney or liver disorders.
