Description:
Keraglo-AD Lotion is an antifungal medication used to treat various fungal infections of the skin, including athlete’s foot, ringworm, and thrush. It works by killing the fungus responsible for the infection, helping to relieve symptoms such as itching, redness, and irritation. The lotion should be applied as directed by your doctor, typically for a duration of 2 to 4 weeks. It is important to use it consistently and only in the prescribed amount to achieve the best results. Overuse does not speed up recovery and may increase the risk of side effects.
To enhance its effectiveness, keep the affected area clean and dry, and wash your hands before and after application. If treating athlete’s foot, it’s advisable to wash socks and change footwear daily. Common side effects may include a burning sensation, skin dryness, irritation, peeling, or blistering. Occasionally, it may lead to hair thinning. If you experience symptoms of a severe allergic reaction—such as swelling of the face, lips, or throat, difficulty breathing, dizziness, or rash—seek medical attention immediately.
Although interactions with oral or injectable medications are unlikely, inform your doctor if you’ve recently used topical steroids or had an allergic reaction to antifungals. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, use this lotion only under medical advice to ensure it is safe for you and your baby.
