It’s best to take Rabemac 20 Tablet about one hour before a meal, ideally in the morning. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage based on your condition and how well you respond to treatment. For best results, take the medicine at the same time each day and continue using it as prescribed, even if your symptoms improve quickly. Making lifestyle changes, like eating smaller meals and avoiding caffeine, spicy foods, and fatty meals, can also enhance its effectiveness.

Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, gas, diarrhea, and stomach pain. These are typically mild and temporary, but let your doctor know if they persist or worsen. Prolonged use, especially beyond a year or in high doses, may increase the risk of bone fractures due to weakened bones. Your doctor may recommend calcium and vitamin D supplements to help prevent this.

Some individuals may experience low magnesium levels (hypomagnesemia) after using this medication for several months. Symptoms of this can include fatigue, confusion, muscle spasms, dizziness, and irregular heartbeat. Your doctor may monitor your magnesium levels if long-term treatment is needed.

This medicine may not be suitable for everyone. Inform your doctor if you have severe liver disease, are on HIV medications, have had allergic reactions to similar drugs, or suffer from osteoporosis. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before starting this medicine. Avoid alcohol, as it can increase stomach acid and worsen symptoms. If you feel dizzy or drowsy while taking this medicine, avoid driving or operating heavy machinery.
