Description:
Romilast 4mg Tablet is primarily used in children to prevent asthma attacks and relieve breathing difficulties that may occur due to exercise-induced bronchoconstriction. Additionally, it helps manage symptoms of seasonal and skin allergies, such as runny nose, sneezing, nasal congestion, itching, swelling, and watery eyes. The medicine works best when given at a fixed time daily, with or without food, as per the doctor’s instructions.
For asthma or breathing-related issues, it is generally recommended to administer the dose in the evening or at least two hours before any strenuous physical activity. When used for allergy relief, evening doses are also preferred based on symptom onset. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking Romilast 4mg, repeat the dose unless it’s close to the next scheduled one.
While many children begin to feel better after a few days of consistent use, it is important to complete the full prescribed course to ensure effective management and to prevent the symptoms from returning or worsening. Common side effects may include fever, headache, stomach pain, or diarrhea, which are generally mild and temporary. However, if these symptoms persist or become bothersome, it is advisable to consult your child’s doctor.
Before starting Romilast 4mg, it’s important to inform the doctor about any other medications your child may be taking and share a complete medical history, especially concerning allergies, heart conditions, blood disorders, airway or lung issues, liver or kidney impairment, and any congenital abnormalities. This helps the doctor determine the right dosage and ensure a safe and effective treatment plan.
