Sinarest Paediatric Drops is commonly prescribed to children for the relief of symptoms associated with the common cold, such as sore throat, runny nose, cough, sneezing, watery eyes, body ache, and fever.
The medicine should be administered orally, with or without food. However, since children may experience stomach discomfort with medications, it’s advisable to give it with food if such issues arise. The dosage and duration will depend on your child’s specific symptoms and should be strictly followed as directed by the doctor.
For best results, give Sinarest Paediatric Drops at the same time each day to help establish a routine. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the dose, you can repeat the dose. However, if it’s close to the time for the next dose, do not double up. While your child may begin to feel better within a few days, it’s important to complete the full prescribed course to avoid a relapse or worsening of symptoms.
Some common and usually temporary side effects may include vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, rash, and headache. These typically resolve as your child adjusts to the medicine, but if they persist or cause concern, consult your child’s doctor.
Be sure to share your child’s full medical history with the doctor, especially any allergies, congenital conditions, or issues related to the heart, liver, kidneys, lungs, skin, or ongoing medications. This information helps the doctor tailor the treatment plan and dosage appropriately for your child’s needs.
