Salt Composition:
Isosorbide Dinitrate
Description:
Sobisis Forte Tab contains isosorbide dinitrate, a nitrate medication used to prevent and treat angina pectoris (chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart). Isosorbide dinitrate works by relaxing the smooth muscles of blood vessels, leading to vasodilation.
This dilation reduces the workload on the heart by decreasing both preload (the amount of blood returning to the heart) and afterload (the resistance the heart must pump against). It also helps to dilate the coronary arteries, improving blood supply to the heart muscle.
Sobisis Forte Tab typically contains a higher dose of isosorbide dinitrate compared to standard isosorbide dinitrate tablets, providing a more pronounced effect.
It is usually taken orally several times a day as prescribed by a physician. To prevent tolerance, a nitrate-free interval is often recommended. Common side effects may include headache (which can be severe, especially initially), dizziness, lightheadedness, and flushing. Sobisis Forte Tab is not intended for immediate relief of acute angina attacks; sublingual nitroglycerin is used for that purpose. It should be used with caution in patients with low blood pressure or certain heart conditions, and it is contraindicated with the use of PDE5 inhibitors like sildenafil due to the risk of severe hypotension.
