Description:
Stator-F Tablet is a combination of two lipid-lowering medications used to manage high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood, particularly when lifestyle changes like a low-fat diet are insufficient. By helping to reduce cholesterol and triglycerides, it lowers the risk of heart disease and stroke.
The tablet can be taken with or without food, and it’s best to take it at the same time each day for consistency. Your doctor will prescribe the appropriate dose based on your lipid levels and response to the medication. It’s important to remember that stopping this medication may lead to a rise in lipid levels, worsening your condition and increasing your risk of cardiovascular problems.
In addition to the medication, a comprehensive treatment plan should include a healthy diet, regular exercise, smoking cessation, limiting alcohol intake, and weight management. While taking Stator-F, you should avoid high-fat foods but can maintain a normal diet.
Common side effects of Stator-F include nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation, headache, insomnia, excessive gas, and muscle pain, though these are typically mild and short-lived. However, if you experience severe muscle pain, yellowing of the skin or eyes, unusual bleeding or bruising, or persistent side effects, you should consult your doctor immediately. Regular liver function tests may be recommended during treatment.
Stator-F should not be used in patients with liver disease or abnormal liver function tests. Patients with kidney issues, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and diabetic individuals should consult their doctor before using this medication. Diabetics should monitor their blood sugar levels as the medicine may cause an increase in blood sugar.
