Description:

Vibact Cap contain cefaclor, a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. Cefaclor works by interfering with the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, which is essential for the survival of bacteria.

By inhibiting this process, cefaclor effectively kills susceptible bacteria or prevents their growth. It is effective against a range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, making it useful for treating infections of the respiratory tract (such as bronchitis and pneumonia), ear infections (otitis media), skin and soft tissue infections, and urinary tract infections (UTIs).

Vibact-DS Cap likely indicates a “double strength” formulation, meaning it contains a higher dose of cefaclor compared to the regular Vibact Cap. This higher dose may be prescribed for more severe infections or for infections caused by bacteria that are less susceptible to cefaclor.
