Description:
Acivo-DSR Capsule belongs to a group of medicines called proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), which work by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It is used to treat conditions such as acid reflux (GERD), stomach and duodenal ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (excess acid caused by a pancreatic tumor), and ulcers linked to Crohn’s disease.
This medicine works by blocking an enzyme in the stomach (called the gastric proton pump) that is responsible for acid production. By lowering acid levels, Acivo-DSR Capsule helps relieve symptoms like heartburn, acidity, and inflammation of the food pipe (esophagitis).
Some people may experience mild side effects such as headache, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, dizziness, or joint pain. These effects are usually temporary and disappear on their own. If they last long or become severe, consult your doctor.
Take Acivo-DSR Capsule exactly as prescribed by your doctor—usually 30 minutes before meals. Do not chew, crush, or break the capsule. Never exceed the recommended dose.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are allergic to it or have any liver problems, stomach or intestinal cancer, or are planning to undergo an endoscopy. Long-term use of this medicine may cause a deficiency of Vitamin B12, calcium, magnesium, or Vitamin D, which can lead to weak bones (osteoporosis).
Acivo-DSR Capsule is not recommended for children below 5 years of age. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should take it only after consulting their doctor.
