Product Description
Amlovas-L Tablet is a combination medication used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), particularly when a single medication is not sufficient to control blood pressure. It helps lower high blood pressure, thereby reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke.
You can take Amlovas-L Tablet at any time of day, with or without food, but it’s recommended to take it at the same time each day. Continue taking it for as long as prescribed by your doctor. Even if you feel fine, do not stop taking it on your own, as high blood pressure often shows no symptoms. Stopping the medication may worsen your condition. Along with this medicine, staying active, maintaining a healthy diet, reducing weight, and regular exercise will further help in controlling your blood pressure.
Common side effects may include ankle swelling, headache, cough, weakness, tiredness, and dizziness. Because it may cause dizziness, avoid driving or engaging in activities that require mental alertness until you are familiar with how it affects you. This medication may also raise potassium levels in the blood, so it’s advised to avoid potassium-rich foods or supplements. Your doctor may regularly monitor your blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte levels during treatment.
Before starting Amlovas-L Tablet, inform your doctor if you have any liver or kidney issues. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor for advice before using this medication. Additionally, tell your doctor about any other medications you’re taking, especially those for high blood pressure or heart conditions.
