Product Description
Ascoril LS Drops contains three active ingredients that work together to treat wet cough (cough with mucus), acute sore throat, and asthma in children. It helps relieve throat irritation, clears congestion, and makes it easier for your child to breathe by thinning mucus and making it easier to cough out.
The medicine should be given to your child by mouth, with or without food, along with a full glass of water. If your child experiences an upset stomach, it’s better to give the drops with food. The duration of treatment will depend on the severity of the condition, and you may need to administer the medicine for several days to weeks. For maximum benefit, do not stop the medication abruptly, even if your child starts feeling better. Always complete the full prescribed course, and never exceed the recommended dose in an attempt to get faster relief, as this could lead to unwanted effects and worsen your child’s condition.
Common side effects of Ascoril LS Drops include excessive salivation, fatigue, headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, rash, tremors, and a numbness or tingling sensation in the hands or feet. These effects are usually temporary and will resolve once your child’s body adapts to the medicine. However, if these side effects persist or cause significant discomfort, contact your child’s doctor immediately.
Be sure to provide your child’s doctor with a complete medical history, including any past issues with respiratory illnesses, allergies, heart problems, blood disorders, birth defects, airway obstructions, lung anomalies, sinus issues, liver or kidney conditions. This information is crucial for adjusting the dose and ensuring your child’s treatment plan is safe and effective.
