Description:
Calutide 50 Tablet contains bicalutamide, an anti-androgen medication primarily used in the treatment of prostate cancer. Bicalutamide works by blocking the action of testosterone and other androgens (male hormones) at their receptors in the body.
In prostate cancer, androgens can stimulate the growth of cancer cells, so by blocking their effects, bicalutamide helps to slow down or stop the growth of the cancer. Calutide 50 Tablet is usually taken once daily, either alone or in combination with other hormone therapies, such as a luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) analog.
Common side effects may include hot flashes, breast tenderness or enlargement (gynecomastia), decreased libido, and erectile dysfunction. Liver function may also be affected, so regular monitoring is often required. Bicalutamide is only used in men and is contraindicated in women and children.conditions or medications
