Description:
Claribid OD Tablet ER is an extended-release antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. It is particularly effective in managing infections of the respiratory tract, ear, nose, throat, lungs, and skin. Additionally, it helps in treating infections caused by Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), a bacterium linked to peptic ulcer disease. Claribid OD is also beneficial in managing infections such as Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC), especially in individuals with weakened immune systems. The medication works by preventing the growth of bacteria, thereby helping to alleviate symptoms and clear the infection.
This medicine should be taken orally, preferably one hour before or two hours after a meal, and antacids should be avoided within two hours of taking it. It is important to take it at regular, evenly spaced intervals as prescribed by your doctor. To ensure the infection is completely treated, do not skip doses and complete the full course, even if you start feeling better. Ending treatment too early may cause the infection to return or worsen.
Common side effects may include diarrhea, nausea, indigestion, abdominal pain, headache, vomiting, and rash. These are generally mild and tend to go away once the treatment is completed, but if they persist or worsen, consult your doctor. Before starting Claribid OD Tablet ER, inform your doctor of any history of allergies or heart problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also seek medical advice before using this medication.
