Description:
Clavam Forte Dry Syrup is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections affecting various parts of the body, including the ear, nose, throat, chest, lungs, teeth, skin, and urinary tract. It is especially effective against antibiotic-resistant bacteria and can help in treating drug-resistant tuberculosis.
The syrup can be taken with or without food, although it’s generally recommended to take it with food to improve absorption and reduce stomach discomfort. The dosage depends on the severity of the infection, as well as the child’s weight and age, and should be strictly followed as prescribed by the doctor. If the child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, the dose should be repeated, but a double dose should not be taken if it’s time for the next dose.
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and mild skin rashes, while more serious side effects, such as allergic reactions or severe diarrhea, require immediate medical attention. Before using this medication, it’s important to inform the doctor if the child has a history of allergies to antibiotics, liver or kidney disease, heart or blood disorders, or gastrointestinal conditions. Completing the full course of the antibiotic is essential to prevent resistance, and mixing this medication with others should be done only under the guidance of a doctor.
