Contiflo D Capsule PR is a combination medication formulated to manage the symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), commonly known as an enlarged prostate. While it does not treat or prevent prostate cancer, it effectively relieves urinary symptoms such as difficulty in urination and frequent urges to urinate, especially at night. The medicine works through a dual mechanism: it relaxes the muscles in the prostate and bladder, allowing for easier urine flow, and gradually reduces the size of the prostate over time, further alleviating symptoms.
To ensure maximum benefit, Contiflo D should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor, preferably at the same time each day, with or without food. It is important not to skip doses, even if symptoms seem to improve, as consistent use is necessary for optimal results. It may take up to four weeks to notice significant improvements, so patience and adherence to the prescribed regimen are essential. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult your healthcare provider.
Some common side effects associated with this medication include impotence, reduced libido, breast tenderness or pain, ejaculation disorders, and episodes of dizziness or drowsiness—especially during the early stages of treatment.
