Cyra Tablet is a medication that works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It is primarily used to treat acid-related disorders such as acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It helps relieve symptoms and promote the healing of ulcers in the stomach and intestines.
Cyra Tablet should be taken one hour before a meal, preferably in the morning, and the dosage will depend on your specific condition and response to the medication. It’s important to take it regularly, at the same time each day, as prescribed by your doctor. Even if your symptoms improve quickly, continue taking the medication until your doctor advises otherwise. Along with the medicine, consider eating smaller, more frequent meals and avoiding caffeinated drinks, spicy, or fatty foods to improve your symptoms.
Common side effects of Cyra Tablet include nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, flatulence, diarrhea, and stomach pain. These are typically mild, but if they persist or become bothersome, contact your doctor. Long-term use (more than one year) may increase the risk of bone fractures, especially with higher doses. Your doctor may recommend calcium and vitamin D supplements to help prevent bone loss (osteoporosis).
Additionally, prolonged use of Cyra Tablet may lead to low blood magnesium levels (hypomagnesemia), which can cause tiredness, confusion, dizziness, muscle twitches, and irregular heartbeat. If you are taking the medication for more than three months, your doctor may monitor your magnesium levels.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have severe liver issues, are taking medications for HIV, have experienced allergic reactions to similar drugs, or suffer from bone loss. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor. It’s advisable to avoid alcohol, as it can increase stomach acid production and worsen your symptoms. If the medication causes dizziness or sleepiness, avoid driving or operating machinery.
