Description:
Deplatt Tablet is an antiplatelet medication, often referred to as a blood thinner. It works by preventing the formation of harmful blood clots within your blood vessels, significantly lowering the risk of heart attack and stroke. It is widely prescribed for heart protection.
Indications:
Deplatt Tablet is commonly prescribed to individuals at high risk for heart disease, including those with peripheral vascular disease (narrowing of blood vessels leading to circulation problems), a history of heart attack or stroke, irregular heartbeats, or those who have undergone procedures such as stenting. It is also used in combination with other medications to treat heart attacks and some types of chest pain (unstable angina).
Dosage and Administration:
This medicine can be taken with or without food. It is important to take Deplatt Tablet at the same time every day. Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as stopping the medication could increase the risk of heart attack or stroke.
Side Effects:
The most common side effect of Deplatt Tablet is bleeding. This could present as bruising, nosebleeds, blood in urine, black-colored stools, or heavier periods in women. If you suffer an injury, bleeding may take longer than usual to stop. These side effects are typically mild and resolve on their own, but you should consult your doctor if they persist or cause concern.
Precautions:
Deplatt Tablet is not suitable for everyone. Do not take it if you are currently bleeding (e.g., from a stomach ulcer or brain hemorrhage). Before starting this medication, inform your doctor if you have a history of bleeding disorders or have recently had a serious injury or surgery.
