Description:
Diamox ER 500 Capsule contains acetazolamide, a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. It reduces the production of fluid in the eye, thereby lowering intraocular pressure, which is beneficial in treating glaucoma. It also acts as a diuretic, helping to remove excess fluid from the body in conditions like edema. Additionally, it can be used as an adjunct in the treatment of certain types of epilepsy and to prevent or reduce the symptoms of altitude sickness. The extended-release (ER) formulation allows for less frequent dosing.
