Description:
Eritel H Tablet is a combination medication used to manage high blood pressure, especially when a single medicine is not effective on its own. By effectively lowering blood pressure, it helps reduce the risk of serious cardiovascular events such as heart attacks and strokes. This tablet can be taken with or without food, and the dosage is determined based on your condition and response to the treatment. It’s important to take it at the same time each day and to continue using it as prescribed, even if you start feeling better, as high blood pressure often has no noticeable symptoms. Since Eritel H contains a diuretic (water pill), it increases urine output, so it’s advisable to avoid taking it within four hours of bedtime to prevent nighttime urination.
The most commonly reported side effect is dizziness, while other potential side effects include fatigue, nausea, shortness of breath, and changes in heartbeat. Increased urination is an intended effect of the medication, as it contributes to lowering blood pressure. While most side effects are mild or rare, it’s important to read the accompanying leaflet and consult your doctor if any symptoms persist or become bothersome. Your doctor may adjust your dose or consider an alternative if necessary.
You should avoid using potassium supplements or salt substitutes unless advised by your doctor. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Be sure to inform your doctor if you have conditions like kidney or liver disease, heart problems, or diabetes. Also, alcohol consumption should be limited, as it may amplify the blood pressure-lowering effects and lead to additional side effects.
