Description:
Feburic 80 Tablet is used to treat and prevent gout, a condition where excess uric acid in the body forms crystals that can accumulate around joints, causing pain and swelling. This medication works by lowering uric acid levels in the blood, helping to prevent the formation of these crystals.
Feburic 80 Tablet can be taken with or without food. It is important to continue taking it as prescribed by your doctor, even when you’re not experiencing a gout attack, to maintain low uric acid levels. Stopping the medication could worsen symptoms and lead to the formation of more crystals. Along with taking the medicine, lifestyle changes such as avoiding alcohol, non-vegetarian foods, and drinking plenty of fluids can also help manage gout.
Common side effects of Feburic 80 Tablet include liver function abnormalities, nausea, joint pain, and rashes. Some people may experience a temporary worsening of gout symptoms (e.g., severe joint pain, redness, and warmth) when starting the medication. It’s important not to stop taking the medicine; your doctor may prescribe painkillers or other medications to alleviate these initial symptoms. If you experience symptoms of liver disease, such as persistent nausea, dark urine, or yellowing of the skin or eyes, contact your doctor immediately.
Before using Feburic 80 Tablet, inform your doctor if you have any heart conditions, stroke, thyroid issues, or liver or kidney problems. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Regular blood tests may be required to monitor liver function while on this medication.
