Pantoprazole (40mg) + Itopride (150mg)
Description:
Ganaton Total Cap is a combination medication used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and functional dyspepsia, particularly when symptoms of both acid reflux and impaired gastric motility are present. Itopride hydrochloride is a prokinetic agent that enhances gastric emptying and reduces nausea and vomiting by increasing the release of acetylcholine and inhibiting dopamine D2 receptors in the gastrointestinal tract.
Pantoprazole sodium is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the production of acid in the stomach, thereby alleviating heartburn and promoting the healing of esophageal damage.
Ganaton Total Cap is usually taken once or twice daily, before meals. Common side effects associated with pantoprazole may include headache, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Itopride can cause side effects like headache and gastrointestinal discomfort.
