Description:
Glimy M 1 Tablet PR is a combination of two medicines used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults by helping to control blood sugar levels. This medication should be taken with food and regularly at the same time each day to get the most benefit. The appropriate dosage will be determined by your doctor, who may adjust it based on your blood sugar levels over time. Even if you feel well or your blood sugar is controlled, it is important to continue taking the medication as prescribed, as stopping it without consulting your doctor could lead to a rise in blood sugar levels and increase the risk of serious complications such as kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, and limb loss. The treatment should be accompanied by a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight management as advised by your healthcare provider.
The most common side effect of Glimy M 1 Tablet PR is hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels). It is important to recognize the signs of hypoglycemia, such as sweating, dizziness, headache, and shaking, and to know how to manage it. To prevent hypoglycemia, ensure you have regular meals and always carry a fast-acting source of glucose, such as sugary food or fruit juice. Alcohol should be avoided, as it can increase the risk of low blood sugar. Other possible side effects include taste changes, nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, headache, and upper respiratory tract infections. Some individuals may experience weight gain while taking this medication.
Glimy M 1 Tablet PR should not be taken if you have type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or severe kidney or liver disease. Additionally, consult your doctor if you have a history of heart disease or other health concerns, as this medication may not be suitable for you. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also seek medical advice before taking this tablet. Regular monitoring of your blood sugar levels and possibly blood tests to check your blood cell counts and liver function will be necessary while using this medication.
