Description:
Hopace 2.5mg Tablet contains ramipril, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. Ramipril is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure. It works by blocking the production of angiotensin II, a substance in the body that narrows blood vessels.
By blocking angiotensin II, ramipril allows blood vessels to relax, which lowers blood pressure and reduces the workload on the heart. It can also help to improve survival after a heart attack and reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in high-risk individuals.
Hopace 2.5mg is usually taken orally once daily. Common side effects may include a dry cough, dizziness, and fatigue. Rare but serious side effects can include angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat).
