Similac Isomil Soy Infant Formula is a specially formulated, soy-based, milk-free, and lactose-free spray-dried infant formula designed to meet the unique nutritional needs of infants with lactose intolerance, milk allergies, diarrhoea, or galactosemia. It is ideal for infants from vegan families or those who require a milk substitute due to dietary restrictions or digestive sensitivities. Enriched with hydrolyzed corn starch, soy protein isolate, edible vegetable oils (including corn, coconut, canola, and MCT oil), sucrose, essential vitamins, and minerals, Similac Isomil supports healthy growth while promoting digestive comfort and immune system development.
The formula features a unique carbohydrate blend that enhances nutrient absorption and minimizes the risk of malabsorption, along with a palm olein-free fat blend that aids in calcium absorption and helps produce softer stools. It also addresses common feeding issues such as fussiness, gas, and spit-up. Similac Isomil should be prepared with boiled and cooled water using only the provided scoop, with one level scoop (8.7 g) mixed into 60 mL of water. Prepared feeds should be consumed immediately or refrigerated and used within 24 hours.
Once feeding begins, the formula should be used within one hour. The tin should be stored in a cool, dry place and its contents used within three weeks of opening or before the expiry date. As with all infant formulas, Similac Isomil should only be used under the advice and supervision of a healthcare professional. It is not a replacement for breast milk, which remains the best source of nutrition for infants.
