Description:
Junior Lanzol 15mg Tablet DT is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It is commonly prescribed for the treatment of acid-related conditions such as acid reflux, peptic ulcers, and other gastrointestinal issues caused by excessive stomach acid. Additionally, it is used to prevent ulcers and acidity that can occur with prolonged use of painkillers. The tablet should be taken one hour before meals, ideally in the morning, and the dosage is determined based on the patient’s condition and response to treatment. Even if symptoms improve quickly, it is important to continue taking the medication as directed by a doctor. To enhance the effectiveness of the treatment, patients are advised to eat smaller, more frequent meals and avoid caffeinated beverages, spicy foods, and high-fat meals.
Common side effects of Junior Lanzol 15mg include nausea, headache, flatulence, abdominal discomfort, constipation, and diarrhea. These effects are usually mild, but if they persist or become bothersome, medical advice should be sought. Prolonged use, especially beyond a year, may increase the risk of bone fractures due to decreased calcium absorption. Patients at risk should discuss preventive measures with their doctor, including calcium and vitamin D supplementation.
Before starting this medication, it is important to inform the doctor about any serious liver conditions, use of HIV medications, past allergic reactions to similar drugs, or a history of osteoporosis. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their healthcare provider before using this medicine.
