Description:
Nexito 5 Tablet is commonly prescribed for the treatment of depression and a range of anxiety-related conditions such as panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. It belongs to a class of medications called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), which work by increasing the levels of serotonin in the brain to help improve mood, reduce anxiety, and restore emotional balance.
This medicine can be taken with or without food, and the dosage is determined by your doctor based on your specific symptoms and response to treatment. It’s important to follow the prescribed dose and not make any changes without consulting your doctor. Stopping the medicine suddenly can cause withdrawal symptoms such as dizziness, sleep disturbances, irritability, and restlessness, and may also worsen your condition.
For best results, Nexito 5 should be taken at the same time each day, preferably in the morning if it affects your sleep. While some improvement may be noticed in the first couple of weeks, it may take up to 4 weeks or longer to feel the full benefits. Inform your doctor if you don’t observe any improvement after this period.
Common side effects include nausea, fatigue, excessive sweating, difficulty sleeping (insomnia), and decreased sexual drive. Men may experience delayed ejaculation, while some women may find it difficult to reach orgasm. Drowsiness may also occur in some individuals. It’s important to report any sudden changes in mood or suicidal thoughts to your doctor immediately.
Before starting Nexito 5, inform your doctor if you have a history of epilepsy, liver or kidney disease, heart problems, diabetes, or if you are taking other antidepressants, particularly monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), as these could interact with this medicine. Always provide a full list of your current medications to avoid potential interactions and ensure safe and effective treatment.
