Description:
Nodosis – DS Tablet is an effective alkalinizing agent used in the management of metabolic acidosis and conditions requiring systemic, gastric, or urinary alkalinization. It is particularly beneficial in treating severe diarrhea and chemical phlebitis. The key ingredient, sodium bicarbonate, works by increasing plasma bicarbonate levels, buffering excess hydrogen ions, and raising blood pH to help reverse the symptoms of acidosis.
It may also enhance the therapeutic effects of certain medications such as amphetamine, pseudoephedrine, and quinidine by reducing their elimination from the body. The usual adult dose for moderate metabolic acidosis ranges from 325 mg to 2000 mg, taken orally one to four times daily or as directed by a physician. For safe use, the tablet should be taken as per the recommended dosage, kept out of reach of children, and stored in a cool, dry place. Always read the label carefully before use.
