Olmesar H 40 Tablet is a combination medication used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension). It works through multiple mechanisms to effectively lower blood pressure, thereby helping to reduce the risk of serious health problems such as heart attacks, strokes, and kidney damage. The tablet includes a diuretic (water pill), which increases urination and helps eliminate excess fluid from the body, further contributing to blood pressure control.
Olmesar H 40 can be taken with or without food, but it’s best to take it at the same time each day for consistent effectiveness. Because it contains a diuretic, avoid taking it within four hours of bedtime to minimize nighttime trips to the bathroom. Even if you feel well, continue using the medicine as prescribed—stopping it suddenly can increase the risk of serious complications.
To support your treatment, make healthy lifestyle choices such as staying physically active, eating a heart-healthy and low-sodium diet, managing your weight, and avoiding tobacco and alcohol. While most people tolerate Olmesar H 40 well, some may experience side effects like dizziness, headache, tiredness, weakness, chest pain, or swelling (edema). In rare cases, it may increase pressure in the eyes, which can lead to permanent damage if untreated. Always read the medication leaflet and report any persistent or unusual symptoms to your doctor.
Before starting Olmesar H 40, inform your doctor if you have any underlying health conditions such as kidney or liver disease, heart problems, or diabetes.
