Product Description
PAN 40 Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to reduce the production of stomach acid. It is commonly prescribed to treat acid-related conditions such as heartburn, acid reflux, peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It also helps prevent acidity and ulcers caused by long-term use of painkillers.
This medicine should be taken one hour before a meal, ideally in the morning. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose based on your condition and response to treatment. It’s important to continue taking PAN 40 as prescribed, even if symptoms improve quickly. You can enhance treatment effectiveness by eating smaller, more frequent meals, and avoiding spicy, fatty foods, and caffeinated drinks.
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, gas, diarrhea, and stomach pain. These are usually mild, but consult your doctor if they persist. Prolonged use (over a year) may increase the risk of bone fractures, especially with high doses, so consider calcium and vitamin D supplements if advised.
Before starting PAN 40, inform your doctor if you have liver issues, are on HIV medications, have a history of allergic reactions to PPIs, or suffer from osteoporosis. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use this medicine only after medical consultation.
