Description:
PAN 80mg Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that effectively reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It is commonly used to treat acid-related conditions such as heartburn, acid reflux, peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, providing symptom relief and promoting the healing of the gastrointestinal lining.
Additionally, it is often prescribed to prevent the development of ulcers and acidity in individuals who are on long-term painkiller therapy. The medication should be taken one hour before meals, preferably in the morning, and the dosage depends on the specific condition being treated and the individual’s response to therapy. Even if symptoms improve quickly, it is important to continue the course as directed by the doctor for full effectiveness.
The treatment can be made more effective by adopting dietary changes such as eating smaller meals and avoiding caffeine, spicy, or fatty foods. Common side effects may include nausea, headache, dizziness, flatulence, diarrhea, and stomach pain, which are generally mild and temporary. However, long-term use may increase the risk of bone fractures due to decreased calcium absorption, especially at higher doses. Patients with liver issues, those on HIV medication, individuals with a history of allergic reactions to similar drugs, or those with osteoporosis should inform their doctor prior to starting treatment. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also seek medical advice before using this medicine.
