Description:
Razo 40mg Tablet is a medication that reduces stomach acid production and is used to treat acid-related conditions such as acid reflux, peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It helps relieve symptoms and promotes healing. This medicine should be taken one hour before a meal, preferably in the morning, as per the doctor’s instructions. The dosage depends on the patient’s condition and response to treatment. To maximize its effectiveness, it is recommended to take it at the same time daily and continue as prescribed, even if symptoms improve. Dietary modifications, such as eating smaller, frequent meals and avoiding caffeine, spicy foods, and fatty foods, may further help alleviate symptoms.
Common side effects of Razo 40mg Tablet include nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, flatulence, diarrhea, and stomach pain, which are generally mild. However, long-term use (over a year) may increase the risk of bone fractures, particularly at higher doses. Patients may be advised to take calcium and vitamin D supplements to prevent bone loss (osteoporosis). Prolonged use (three months or more) has also been linked to low magnesium levels, potentially causing tiredness, confusion, dizziness, muscle twitches, and irregular heartbeat, requiring magnesium level monitoring.
Certain individuals should consult their doctor before using this medicine, including those with severe liver conditions, HIV medication usage, previous allergic reactions to similar drugs, or osteoporosis. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should also seek medical advice. Alcohol consumption should be avoided, as it stimulates excessive stomach acid production and may worsen symptoms. If this medicine causes dizziness or drowsiness, activities requiring alertness, such as driving or operating machinery, should be avoided.
