Revocon Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of chorea, a movement disorder characterized by involuntary, jerky movements, commonly associated with Huntington’s disease. It works by balancing dopamine levels in the brain, reducing abnormal movements, and improving overall motor function, making it easier for individuals to move and perform daily activities.
This medication can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day, to maintain a stable level in the body. Follow your doctor’s prescribed dosage and duration, and if you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Do not stop taking Revocon Tablet suddenly without consulting your doctor, as this may worsen symptoms. However, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention if you experience neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS), which includes symptoms such as fever, muscle rigidity, altered consciousness, or seizures.
Common side effects of Revocon Tablet include nausea, insomnia, anxiety, fatigue, restlessness (akathisia), and depression. It may also cause dizziness and drowsiness, so avoid driving or operating machinery until you understand how it affects you. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice any unusual mood changes, worsening depression, or suicidal thoughts while taking this medication.
