Description:
Rizact 10mg Tablet contains rizatriptan benzoate, a selective serotonin 5-HT1B/1D receptor agonist. It is a migraine-specific medication used to treat acute migraine headaches with or without aura.
Rizatriptan works by constricting blood vessels in the brain that are thought to be dilated during a migraine, and by inhibiting the release of neuropeptides that contribute to pain and inflammation. Rizact 10mg is usually taken orally as a single dose at the onset of a migraine headache.
If the headache returns, a second dose may be taken after at least two hours, with a maximum of two doses in 24 hours. Common side effects may include dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, nausea, and chest tightness. Rizatriptan should not be used by individuals with certain cardiovascular conditions or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
