Description:
Ryzodeg 100IU/ml Flextouch is a combination insulin used to manage both type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults and children. It contains a mix of long-acting and rapid-acting insulin, ensuring steady blood sugar control throughout the day. This medication can be used alone or alongside other diabetes treatments, with your doctor or nurse guiding you on the correct way to inject it under the skin. For best results, it should be used once daily at the same time each day. If that’s not possible, it can be taken at a different time, ensuring at least an 8-hour gap between doses. Stopping the medication abruptly can lead to dangerously high blood sugar levels, increasing the risk of complications. It should be used in combination with a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight management as advised by your doctor.
The most common side effect of Ryzodeg 100IU/ml Flextouch is low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). To prevent this, always take the correct dose, eat regular meals, and monitor your blood sugar levels. Excessive alcohol consumption should be avoided, as it can further lower blood sugar. Other common side effects may include allergic reactions, injection site reactions, lipodystrophy (changes in fat tissue at the injection site), itching and rash, swelling (edema), and weight gain.
Do not use Ryzodeg 100IU/ml Flextouch if you have low blood sugar levels. Inform your doctor if you have a history of kidney, liver, or heart conditions before starting treatment. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before use.
