Description:
Serta 50 Tablet is an antidepressant medication that belongs to the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class. It is primarily prescribed for the treatment of depression and various anxiety-related conditions, including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), which is characterized by mood changes and irritability before menstruation in women.
This medicine can be taken with or without food, and it is important to follow your doctor’s prescribed dose and schedule. Typically, treatment begins with a lower dose that is gradually increased to minimize the risk of side effects. It’s crucial not to stop taking the medication abruptly without medical advice, even if you begin to feel better, as doing so may lead to withdrawal symptoms like restlessness, anxiety, palpitations, dizziness, and sleep disturbances.
