Description:
Silodal-D4 Tablet Combipack is a combination medicine used to treat symptoms of an enlarged prostate gland (benign prostatic hyperplasia) in men. It works through two different mechanisms to relieve issues like frequent urination or difficulty passing urine, although it is not intended for the prevention of prostate cancer.
The medicine should be taken whole—without breaking, chewing, or crushing—at the same time each day, as prescribed by your doctor. Even if you start feeling better, it is important not to miss doses to maintain consistent benefits. It may take up to four weeks to notice an improvement in symptoms, and if you do not see any change or if your symptoms worsen, inform your doctor.
Common side effects may include decreased libido, erectile dysfunction (impotence), breast tenderness, and breast enlargement. Some individuals may also experience dizziness or drowsiness, especially when starting treatment. If any of these effects become bothersome, consult your doctor.
This medication is not suitable for women or children. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have a history of low blood pressure, liver, or kidney disease. Silodal-D4 may interact with other medications, so it’s important to share your current prescriptions. Your doctor may advise regular blood pressure checks and recommend using a condom during intercourse. Also, let your doctor know if you consume alcohol, as it may affect how the medicine works.
