Salt Composition:
Sucralfate
Description:
Sucral Syrup contains sucralfate, an anti-ulcer medication used for the short-term management of active duodenal ulcers and for the treatment of gastric and benign ulcers.
Sucralfate works by forming a protective coating over the ulcer, acting as a physical barrier against stomach acid, pepsin, and bile salts, thereby promoting healing.
The syrup formulation is easy to swallow and is often preferred for individuals who have difficulty taking tablets or suspensions. It is usually taken on an empty stomach, at least one hour before or two hours after meals. The most common side effect is constipation.
