Description:
Telekast F Tab is a combination medication used primarily to manage symptoms of allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and asthma. It combines two active ingredients with different mechanisms of action to relieve both nasal and respiratory symptoms associated with allergies.
Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist, as described for Telekast A. It blocks the action of leukotrienes, which contribute to inflammation and bronchoconstriction in the airways, as well as nasal congestion and other allergy symptoms. It is effective in controlling asthma symptoms and also helps with nasal allergy symptoms.
Fexofenadine is a second-generation antihistamine. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a chemical released by the body during an allergic reaction. Histamine causes symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and skin rashes. Fexofenadine helps to relieve these allergic symptoms without causing significant drowsiness, which is a common side effect of older antihistamines.
