Product Description
Thyronorm 37.5mcg Tablet is used to treat an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism). It works by replacing the thyroid hormone that your thyroid gland is not producing in sufficient amounts, helping to regulate your body’s energy and metabolism.
Before starting Thyronorm 37.5mcg Tablet, your doctor will perform a blood test to determine the appropriate dose for you. Once you begin treatment, regular blood tests will be required to monitor how well the medicine is working, and your dose may be adjusted accordingly. It is recommended to take this medication on an empty stomach, ideally before your first meal of the day. To achieve the best results, take the medication regularly, and note that it may take several weeks before you begin to feel improvements. This medication is typically required for long-term use, and discontinuing it may cause your symptoms to return.
The most common side effects of this medication result from taking a higher dose than necessary. These may include palpitations (irregular heartbeat), vomiting, anxiety, diarrhea, weight loss, tremors, increased appetite, and restlessness. Most side effects will subside once the correct dose is established. If you experience a very high temperature, fast or irregular heartbeat, low blood pressure, yellowing of the skin or eyes, confusion, or seizures, contact your doctor immediately.
While Thyronorm 37.5mcg Tablet may lead to weight loss, it should not be used for treating obesity. If you become pregnant while on this medication, inform your doctor promptly, as your dose may need to be adjusted. Additionally, many other medications can interfere with how Thyronorm works, so it’s important to discuss any other medications you are taking with your doctor.
