Description:
Trivoglitor 1mg Tab is a triple combination oral antidiabetic medication used to lower blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes. It contains three active ingredients with different mechanisms of action: voglibose, glimepiride, and metformin hydrochloride.
Voglibose is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that slows down the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea that stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin. Metformin hydrochloride is a biguanide that reduces glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity.
The “1mg” likely refers to the strength of glimepiride in the tablet; the strengths of voglibose and metformin will also be present on the packaging. Trivoglitor is usually taken orally before meals. Common side effects may include hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and gastrointestinal disturbances. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is essential.
