Description:
Volini Gel and Volini Spray are topical pain relief formulations commonly used in India to alleviate musculoskeletal pain and inflammation.
Both products contain a combination of active ingredients that work synergistically to provide relief. Diclofenac diethylamine is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits the production of prostaglandins, which are key mediators of pain and inflammation in the body.
When applied topically, diclofenac is absorbed through the skin and acts locally to reduce pain and swelling in the treated area. Methyl salicylate and menthol are counterirritants that produce a cooling or warming sensation on the skin, which can help to distract from deeper pain and may also have mild analgesic effects by stimulating nerve endings and increasing blood flow to the area.
Linseed oil is included for its potential anti-inflammatory properties and its ability to help with the penetration of the other active ingredients through the skin. Volini Gel has a gel base that is easily spreadable and absorbed into the skin, while Volini Spray offers a convenient, no-touch application, making it suitable for hard-to-reach areas. Both formulations are used for the symptomatic relief of pain associated with conditions such as sprains, strains, muscle aches, joint pain, and back pain.
They are often used for sports injuries, minor arthritis pain, and other localized musculoskeletal discomfort. To use Volini Gel, a small amount is applied to the affected area and gently rubbed into the skin until absorbed. For Volini Spray, the affected area is sprayed from a short distance.
The frequency of application will depend on the severity of the pain and the instructions on the product packaging or as directed by a healthcare professional. It is important to avoid applying these products to broken or irritated skin, open wounds, or mucous membranes. Wash hands thoroughly after application. While topical NSAIDs generally have a lower risk of systemic side effects compared to oral formulations, some local skin reactions such as redness, itching, or irritation may occur. If these reactions persist or worsen, use should be discontinued, and a doctor should be consulted.
