Product Description
Volix Trio 1 Tablet ER is an anti-diabetic medication used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It is a combination of three medicines that work together to help regulate blood sugar levels, especially in individuals who struggle to control their diabetes through diet and exercise alone.
This tablet should be taken with food, and ideally at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood sugar levels. Your doctor will determine the most appropriate dosage based on your individual health condition and blood sugar readings. It is important to follow your doctor’s instructions carefully and continue taking the medication regularly—even if you feel well or your blood sugar seems under control.
Do not stop taking Volix Trio 1 without medical advice, as doing so could cause your blood sugar to rise, increasing the risk of serious complications such as kidney damage, vision loss, nerve problems, and even limb amputation. Remember, this medication is most effective when used as part of a comprehensive diabetes management plan, which should also include a healthy diet, regular physical activity, and weight control, as advised by your doctor.
The most common side effect of Volix Trio 1 is hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). Symptoms include sweating, dizziness, headache, shakiness, and fatigue. To prevent hypoglycemia, eat regular meals and keep a fast-acting sugar source—such as fruit juice or candy—nearby. Alcohol can also lower blood sugar and should be avoided. Other side effects may include taste changes, nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, headache, swelling (edema), blurred vision, bone fractures, and upper respiratory infections. Some individuals may also experience weight gain.
This medication should not be taken by individuals with type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or those with severe liver or kidney problems. Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart disease, as this may affect your treatment plan. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine. Regular monitoring of blood sugar levels, as well as liver function and blood cell counts, may be necessary during treatment.
