Description:
Zoryl-MV 1 Tablet SR is an anti-diabetic medication used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It helps control blood sugar levels, making it easier for people with diabetes to manage their condition effectively.
Zoryl-MV 1 Tablet SR should be taken with food, ideally at the same time each day, to ensure maximum benefit. The dose will be determined by your doctor based on your blood sugar levels, and it may be adjusted over time to maintain optimal control.
Even if you feel well and your blood sugar levels are under control, it’s important to continue taking this medicine as prescribed. Stopping the medication without consulting your doctor can lead to an increase in blood sugar, which can result in serious complications like kidney damage, blindness, nerve damage, and loss of limbs. In addition to the medication, a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight management are key components of diabetes treatment.
The most common side effect of Zoryl-MV 1 Tablet SR is low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), which can cause symptoms like sweating, dizziness, headache, and shaking. To manage this, it’s important to have regular meals and carry a fast-acting glucose source, such as sugary food or fruit juice, with you. Avoiding alcohol is also recommended, as it can increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Other potential side effects include nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, headache, swelling (edema), blurred vision, bone fractures, and upper respiratory infections. Some people may experience weight gain.
You should not take this medication if you have type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis (a serious complication of diabetes), or severe kidney or liver disease. Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart disease, as this medication may not be suitable. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using Zoryl-MV 1 Tablet SR. Regular monitoring of blood sugar levels, blood cell counts, and liver function is advised during treatment.
